In the back of my friend’s house in southwest Maine there is a beautifully restored carriage house dating back to the 19th century. In the summer they host large dinners with up to thirty people and even offer to let guests spend the night in one of the bedrooms they have fashioned upstairs. Often indulging in the hosts’ famous “dark and stormy’s” these beds are a welcome treat, as is the interior decorating that surround them. Maine’s coastal elegance is emulated in the Biddeford Huntboard which is hand crafted from the finest plantation grown mahogany and all drawers are constructed of solid hardwood and are made with traditional dovetail joints.
